Program notes:

In Extremis means a person or a situation is in a desperate circumstance, and I am sure most people, including me, have experienced it multiple times. To depict the miserable circumstance, throughout the piece, I focused on the timbre and attempted to create distressing, melancholic, and dreadful atmospheres in different sections of the music with various instrumental techniques.
