Program notes:

For two years, I was in the United States, specifically Northwestern Ohio studying for my master’s degree, where it snows quite a bit during fall and winter. I immediately missed the very comfortable weather and the snowy landscape when I returned to Hong Kong, with this piece being a reminiscent of it. The music progresses from a mild drizzle signified by consecutive natural harmonics attacks, then transitioned into a more violent snow represented by quick runnings and more dissonant harmonies.
