Program notes:

祈 (Kei4) - to wish, to pray

Life has been tumultuous and depressing in the past few years in Hong Kong. Through Kei4, the composer wishes to illuminate a glimmer of hope and pray for the future of Hong Kong and Hongkongers. Through expressive melodies and harmonies, the music wanders through the desire for peace, the melancholy of people brought by the troubled days, and hopes for a better future. Adding to this, live electronics (such as delay and flanging) and fixed media not only interact with the ensemble but further augment the expressions and emotions brought by them.
